AS-604T sometimes no reply under high load condition

Post by kurukuru »

Hello ASUSTOR engineers.

My NAS(AS-604T) sometimes gives me no response under high load condition.
This issue is looked under below condition...
---I copy large file(1GB~) from local PC to AS-604T by windows7 explorer,
At the same time, I access other files on the NAS(movie, music, etc...).
Sometimes copying is failed(copy stop), and NAS is no reply.
---AI downloader working every time about 50 jobs(high load?)

First, I try to shut down or restart by the ADM, but ADM is also no reply.
And I try to restart by AS-604T front function button,
AS-604T front display is working good, but I can't restart by the button.
(I push the "Restart? YES" button, and display says "Restarting please wait.",
but AS-604T doesn't restart for a long time.) :-(
At last, I shut down NAS forcibly by push the power button for a moment.
And I push power button again for the NAS activate.

This sequence makes worse internal HDDs life time. :-(

I think that AS-604T is weak(unstable) at high load condition(open/copy large files),
because ADM's stability is not completely?
Can we solve this issue by firmware updating?

Have you ever heard any reports like this?

Please, analysis this problem.

Thanks.

Hi kurukuru,

Currently we did't receive any bug report like you described.
can you alway replicate this issue? If you can, when this issue happen again,
could you please go to Information -->click tab "Dr.ASUSTOR" --> click button [Export Health record]
after you export the record, please send it to me (I will pm you my e-mail address)
our engineer will analyze the record and try to figure out the root cause.

In the meantime, I will ask our test department to replicate this issue at our site,
see if we can find out something.

br.
