ez router (closed port)

Post by toprk »

hi~

my router is asus rt-ac66u, nas is as-602t

i used ez router with PnP setting on rt-ac66u

sometimes, most port is closed except for download center port 55555(tcp, udp)

i think, If you do not use as-602t more than one hour, something like this happens

2.jpg is this case (i manually set port fowarding port 21, 80 on my router), only port 55555 is opened by ez router.

how do i fix it?

Hi there,

I am sorry, but I am not quite sure about what you question is, therefore, can you please explain it again in greater details?

Post by toprk »

sorry for late reply.

is my router (RT-AC66U) compatible with AS-602T EZ-router(UPnP)?

like image,

when i turn on AS-602T, At first, UPNP very work well.

but, a little bit of time later, port closed (image 2)

so, i cannot connect ADM (closed port 8000, and almost ports)

We have been testing most ASUS routers and I am sorry to inform you that AC66U is not that compatible.
It does support UPnP, but it does not allow to forward some specific ports, like 80 & 443, and that's why we don't list it on the compatibility list.

I am not sure why some ports will be closed later automatically, perhaps you can past the screenshot of your router's port forwarding page here?

so, i set up port forwarding port 80 myself.

But, i don't understand that other ports will be closed later automatically.

If i reboot my router, works normally.

because of power-saving mode??? i set hard disk is power-off 30 minutes later.

when before you tested this router , you happens this situation?

Generally, you will not want to depend on upnp. If it were me, I would forward all ports necessary for your environment and turn UPNP off in your router...
