Set the users' UID and GID in ADM

Post by david_phr »

Hello,

I want to share read/write access to a folder hosted on my NAS through NFS on my local network. I must match my NAS users' UID and GID with the other local server.
Is it possible to set specific UID and GID with ADM (at user creation time)?

Cheers,

David

You can do that from the terminal using usermod and groupmod commands. Remember you'll also have to recursively change the relevant uid/gid of files/dirs using chgrp and chown.
