How to migrate from a WD NAS to an Asustor NAS

Post by mvikla »

Help! I'm new to dealing with moving to a new NAS. I have a 2-drive WD NAS with about 5 TB of data that I need to migrate/move/transfer to an Asustor 1102. I'm guessing there is an app for this, but I'm not sure which one. I am also moving from a Win 10 PC to a new MacBook, but I don't think that has anything to do with this step. The 2 drives are initialized and formatted as RAID 1. I can't seem to find any step by step instructions for this action.

Thanks for any help!!

Many ways to achieve it. I'll suggest you to mount WD NAS shared folders to Asustor NAS directly (ADM web -> Access Control -> Shared Folders -> CIFS folder). Then copy files within Asustor NAS (ADM web -> Backup & Restore).
