Certificate spam in ADM 3.5.2.RAG2

Post by jauling »

Hey everyone. Using the Let's Encrypt SSL cert with my AS5104T.

Since I upgraded to 3.5.2.RAG2, everyday I get email notifications that look like the following:

Code: Select all

This is a system event notification sent from NAS.

Event Level: WARNING
Date: 2020-11-26 15:52
User: SYSTEM
Event: [Certificate Manager] Authentication for NASNAME.COM failed.
This is being sent at approximately midnight, which corresponds to the cron job:

Code: Select all

0 0 * * * TAG=CERTIFICATE /usr/builtin/bin/certificate update-cert
Prior to upgrading to this version, I didn't get email notifications daily about this. I usually have both ports 80 and 443 closed to the outside world, and plan on opening up 443 once I finish setting up my web service. Thing is, even if I temporarily enable port forwarding on my router for 80/443 to my NAS, then I re-run the cron entry, it still gives me the same error. Anyone else having this issue?

Forgotful me. I totally forgot I had a .htaccess file in my /volume1/Web/ folder, which was by default denying all traffic. I moved this out of the way, and re-ran the cronjob, and my certificate was updated without problems.

Hopefully this can be helpful to someone!
