Is "Media Cast" app still supported?

Is "Media Cast" app still supported?

I mean it doesn't seem to do anything. I open YouTube app on my phone, press 'Cast' then my NAS is not on the list. Is there some additional configuration required or the app is simply abandoned?

The free Youtube.com/TV is gone and that is the reason why. Mediacast is still needed for the casting function in Looksgood.
Go get a smart TV or a dedicated media player with Youtube built-in will be easier.
