i need an help with both docker and utorrent

hi all
im new here and new to NAS. i just get my AS4002T NAS
1. im searching for utorrent at the app central and couldent find. does it available for ASUSTOR ?
2. im installing the docker CE from central app and when finished i dont see his ICON. how can i get it work ?
i want it in order to install Pi-hole according to some guide

Hi,

As I know, utorrent is available on Asustor App. Central but with the last compiled version for Linux (2014 due to proprietary code) ... so not sure that this version run as well and on all platform
... AS4002T is an Arm NAS ... or the version is for i386 or x86_64 models ...

1 install Entware APKG from App.Central
2 open a ssh terminal using admin (or root) / your_admin_password
3 use opkg package manager to install package
ex.
opkg update (update list and version of package)
opkg upgrade (upgrade installed package is require)
opkg list (list all package)
opkg list | grep torrent (list all packages containing torrent in name or info)
opkg list | grep rutorrent (list packages containing rutorrent)
opkg install ... list of packages to install ex. : opkg install rutorrent and plugins (same command or separate ... no mater)
etc.
3 configure rutorrent as usual, using default method / WebUI / etc. just remember that Entware is installed in /opt so ALL PATHS for Entware is prefixed by /opt
... so /etc/init.d for Entware is /opt/etc/init.d ... etc.


For docker, even after writing a cookbook on docker on NAS and specific platform usage (x86 Arm, etc.) I have abandoned this solution (hidden things libraries not updated and not secure, no idea of what is really done by the image builder (ex. malware / bitcoin mining / etc.) update depends of the creator + overhead and docker adding problems by itself) .
So I prefer using LXC or directly namespace and cgroup with full code accessible and visible by user (ex. like in myHD APKG).
Docker also split the support ... so who can have the response
... Asustor for Docker or access right to share
... Docker creator image with accessing A.D.M. structure with it's own rules
... Docker creator for libraries
... Docker group for internal code (not open) and libraries
etc.
docker is build to sale services ... the only usage is for building advanced version and your own image to test before deploying ... not for a current usage ...
... the devil is in the details

BUT it's MY opinion and nobody have to share it ... you are the master in your castle and you can do what you want

so my response is : ask Asustor support icon not displayed is an APKG problem not a docker one ...
