merging 2 volumes

Post by spikey1973 »

hey guys,

im running a as6604 her with in the drive bays 4 drives
2x seagate ironwolf 8TB as raid 1, named volume 2.
2x seagate ironwolf 12TB also setup as raid 1, named volume 3

is it possible to merge the two volumes into one, creating a sort off 20 TB drive?

Kind greats Matthieu

Hi,

This is not possible in your current RAID config but you can do this in iSCSI. Create a target with two LUNs with each on the separate volumes, then create a new spanning volume in Windows. You'll have a new drive with one part in volume1 and the other in volume2.
