AS6510T and 2 x AS6004 - mounting trouble

Post by MaxMax »

Hi, my NAS refuses randomly after reboot to mount one of two AS6004. it always says that randomly 1st or 2nd or 3rd HDD is missing in the box and therefore it cannot be mounted/activated.

is there any solution to manually mount the box after a reboot when the auto-mounting of ADM/NAS fails?
edit: i already swapped USB cables, also exchanged for shorter ones, i swapped the power supplies for the 2x AS6004 in between, i also swapped the HDDs inside, but always one AS6004 fails to initialize/activate/mount....

Without analyzing your system i.e. its logs and such, it would be difficult to determine the cause or even if the disk(s) are detected in the first place to manually mount them. You can SSH into the NAS to check the dmesg for any USB/HDD errors related to the AS6004U. Suggest that you should contact Asustor Support if you're unsure how to do this.
