Hello Philippe,
here is what I have done.
1.) Start Server from S3 sleep and started Gateone from ADM Desktop and opened a console (not logged in yet).
2.) Settings/Gateone/Font size set from 100% to 110% and saved with the Save button.
3.) Settings/Terminal/Font size set from 90% to 110% and saved with the Save button.
--> The changes have been applied and are effective.
4.) Logged in as root.
5.) Exit the console with the command exit.
6.) Close Gateone tab page.
7.) Call Gateone again by clicking on the corresponding icon on the ADM desktop.
--> The font sizes have been reset to the default values (100%, 90%).

The Midnight Commander looks like this in the terminal (see screenshot below).

Do you have any ideas or a solution?

Hi,

1 ... I can't reproduce font problem ... so ... but I am in travel and limited in my access, so be patient, please ...
2 gateone is in a chroot
... enter in chroot
cd /usr/local/AppCentral/gate1/gateone (verify I write all based on my memory)
chroot . /bin/bash
... gateone configuration are in 2 places):
/etc/gateone/conf.d. ... text files (suggest to try to replace in 50terminal.conf )
/var/lib/gateone/users/ ... but it's not readable files
... exit the chroot ... at end
exit

... I have to check again ... if some configuration file are in others places doc is here : https://liftoff.github.io/GateOne/About/index.html

In fact I used gateone only for command line shell ... so without the need to have a full support of Fn function keys, etc. (normally done by a good TERM file descriptor)
when I need a more complete access ... I used SSH extension in Chrome (including sftp) ... gateone don't have update from a while ...

Hi Philippe,
Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your vacation. My problems have time. I'll see if I can still find what I'm looking for, otherwise I'll get back to you in 2-3 weeks.

Have a nice vacation.

Hi,

I am not in vacation ... but in travel ... so just not easy to run test ...

when you enter in a separate environment (chroot) you quit A.D.M. for the Linux environment (Ubuntu or Debian) ... so exit is need to return from chroot to A.D.M.

Hi Philippe,
just one more question. Is this possibly a problem that there (see screenshot below) ANONYMOUS is logged in?

Unfortunately ... no, anonymous is because we used root to launch (or guest or nobody) gateone ...
If you create a user in gateone env. and launch gateone under this user
difference are :
... name of user is in place of ANONYMOUS
... all config / logs / etc. are in ${HOME}/.gateone of the user and not in default location.

When I have some small free time, I will try to understand ... but project is not updated from a while ... and no response in gateone forum ... so ???

Please wait ... and during this time, try some browser extension (to Chrome or Firefox or ... ) to manage ssh connection (ssh is secure, even with password it's encrypted, and choosing another port (not 22) is large enough to secure NAS, or connect you using a VPN (I use this and the only port open (forwarded) is the VPN port in ma NAS or NONE I am in the same LAN or in my "global" VPN bridge managed by a specific router / firewall (DD-WRT).

Philippe (sorry to don't have more time, for the moment, to help you)

Hello Philippe,
no problem. It's not that important.

I have now also managed to get Shell-in-a-box to work, it was not easy with the certificate, as it is not really well described anywhere. In Shell-in-a-box I was able to adjust the font size, I'm not that young anymore ;) . I'll use this as SSH console for now.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Too bad,
with the ADM update to version 4.2.3.RK91 shell-in-a-box doesn't work anymore. I don't get a login anymore and then the application crashes.

Does anyone of you maybe have an idea?
