as6104 vs as6204 and vm

I am about to replace my old zyxel, and after a long period of reading posts and benchmarks I have decided to buy one of the two models: 6104 or 6204.
As far as I can see the only difference between them it's the processor.
I want to run win7 through vm. How big draw back will be buying the 2 core 6104 vs 4 core 6204.
I will upgrade the Nas to 8gb of ram instantly.
I found enough posts and prizes and benchmarks for 6204, but not for 6104..... As if it doesn't exist. That's a little odd.
Is there any chance for asustor to restore Kodi app.? That was a big drawback and a huge disappointment for the users, especially when other brands like thecus continue to support the application.
