Hello,
I have a Syno 210j and I wish to replace it by a new NAS. One model which is considered is the AS3102T.
Is that possible to configure this model in a way that I buy 2 x 3TB HDD, and on each I allocate 1 TB for a RAID1 and the other 2TB to JBOD or RAID0? I.e. I will have 1TB as RAID1 and 4TB as JBOD or RAID0?
Thanks
Raid1 and JOB together

Re: Raid1 and JOB together
No, you can't combine different levels of raid on the same physical disk. Asustor doesn't support multiple partitions on drives, so you have a single partition and it's set up as part of a raid or not according to how it was initialized and it's the entire drive(s) involved.
If you haven't seen it already, I suggest you look at this support document from Asustor:
http://download.asustor.com/college/en/ ... o_RAID.pdf.
This talks about the different Raid levels and how they are applied within an Asustor product. Since the OS handles the partitioning of a disk or disks int eh system, it's not possible to have a combination of raids on the same physical drive. Other OSes do support this, but Asustor doesn't as yet.
