dual purpose NAS direct tv dvr & security camera cctv storage

Can the ASUSTOR AS-204TE be configured to store my security camera files and an occasional movie from my Direct TV ethernet cable and playback to my Panasonic TV HDMI connection. I just want to be sure before I spend $1100.00 on a 4 drive 4TB System.

with large static files you can easily get a better spec 608T and put 2 x seagate archive 8TB HDDs into it for $280 each.
