Hi Jerry888,
I have just had a conversation with our engineers. The noise level for the AS-302T is in fact the same as the AS-304T at 24 dBA. I will have to further inquire why the 33 dBA number came up. Thanks for pointing it out.

Why the 3 Series models can not increase RAM? Is 1GB is sufficient for all tasks at a higher load? For example, I would like to see no clipping two high-definition videos at the same time.

Hi Jerry888.
I own a 604T and it sits next to my TV, containing 4 disks. No problem whatsoever with "noise". Even when sitting there alone I can hardly hear it. Sometimes when downloading and unpacking files I can sense a (very) soft humbling of the disks, comparable to my cat purring
And what a nice purr it is too..

1 GB is sufficient. I own several Nas devices, a couple of them run on 512 MB, I stream several HD movies (MKV) at the same time on this machine to XBMC clients... No problem.Jerry888 wrote:Why the 3 Series models can not increase RAM? Is 1GB is sufficient for all tasks at a higher load? Thanks for the reply but according to the specification AS-302T is louder than the AS-304T or AS-604T. And what I'm afraid.mistered wrote:Hi Jerry888.

Hi Jerry888,
We believe that 1 GB is sufficient and provides great performance. We have tested our read speed to be 104.78 MB/s with this setup so you should have no problem playing two HD videos simultaneously.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Allen

The problem with xbmc. Do not remember the zoom settings
