Drivestor as3304t pro

Post by kdwg1308 »

I currently have a as204te which I have had for 7-8 years, but it has developed some issues that make me believe it maybe coming to the end of its life.
I only use it for storing movie and music rips which play over my own home network, two nvidia shields with plex and a yamaha musiccast device for the music.
That is all i use it for.
Would a drivestor as3304t pro be a suitable and capable replacement?

Thanks

For normal storage usage it's good enough. Do take note your current NAS has HDMI but not this. Not sure you'll be needing it. All that said I would recommend the older AS5304T. You can compare it yourself https://www.asustor.com/product/comparision/73/62.
AS5304T - 16GB DDR4 - ADM-OS modded on 2GB RAM
Internal:
- 4x10TB Toshiba RAID10 Ext4-Journal=Off
External 5 Bay USB3:
- 4x2TB Seagate modded RAID0 Btrfs-Compression
- 480GB Intel SSD for modded dm-cache (initramfs auto update patch) and Apps
