5GbE usb-c ethernet adapter suggestions

I am looking at the AS6604T and just posted a question about read/write speeds.

My Asus laptop is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C 40Gb/s connector. Anyone have suggestions for a GOOD adapter (either 5GbE or 10GbE)

So far, the reviews I read on the adapters are lackluster with most complaints being about overheating and speed throttling as a result. Not married to any particular brand - just good & reliable
