Re: Carry over existing mdadm raid?
Hi,
... partition 1 : 256 Mo
... partition 2 and 3 2GB
... partition 4 ... rest for DATA (in btrfs or ext4)
P0 is not Raid
P1 and P2 are in Raid on each volume (Raid1) ... P1 for the basic system and P2 for the swap
P3 is for DATA and can be in any Raid supported by your model
The only solutions (as I know) are :
... backup & restore (through network (direct, through rsync or any other sync solution (syncthing for ex.) ... or external USB disk)
... copy locally if you own and external USB box able to support Raid ... same Raid as your Ubuntu box except for Raid1 when it's possible to mount only one disk
Philippe.
Shortly NO ... A.D.M. (Asustor Linux) use a specific architecture '(as other NAS brand) for disks and raidIchselbst wrote:Hi,

Re: Carry over existing mdadm raid?
Im guessing that you could use command line and mdadm to reactivate the drive, mount it and copy the data over to the a new volume but that sounds less than ideal.
