I've got the AS6204T and normally use SPDIF for soundoutput.
For my musicbox-project I use Windows XP in the virtualbox and would like to use my USB Soundblaster Play2 instead.
As mapping through USB is stuttering, I'd need virtualbox to use directly the USB-output.

thanks for the link. I'm aware of this process, but get poor performance with my soundcard. (stuttering sound with different programs)
My idea is, if the host itself uses the USB soundcard itself, and the guest system just uses the emulation, it might work much better.
Unfortunately I wasn*t able to get the USB 3.0 driver to run in XP. There exist some kind of commandline to emulate the renegade USB3.0 driver, but I've no idea where to put this in the asustor-version of virtual box?
