I'd like to have Borg Backup packaged in a standart way in Asustor. Borg backup is an deduplicating archiver with compression and encryption.

Ive been able to setup Borg backup and already using it for a months on AS3102T (2.7.x ADM) and it it running well but missing an updates feature. There is an also mode when borg is used only on client side (without server side helper) again with important features missing.

Having an Borg backup packaged would be a nice improvement.

Borg backup is still working fine, even after ADM beeing updated to 3.x

I looks good, I am interested in installing borg into asustor. Would you show me how? install by PIP?

That would be an interesting addition for sure to have a packaged borg server accessible through ssh.
