Hi!
Recently invested in some Ubiquiti gear (still awaiting it, bought an Edgerouter PoE + UniFi AC AP Pro) and most the configuration is done via a program called "UniFi":
https://www.ubnt.com/enterprise/software/
It is available for Linux with a .deb-package:
https://www.ubnt.com/download/unifi/def ... ller-linux
I've also seen it ported to Synology (albeit a third-party addon) as well as to RPi:
Synology - http://synology.acmenet.ru/
RPi - https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles ... spberry-Pi
as well as - http://erikvanpaassen.tweakblogs.net/bl ... -java-8%29
The dependencies seem to be:
MongoDB (which Asustor already have as an app)
and JAVA JDK (not the JRE which is available as an app from Asustor).
Now I'm not a programmer but it seems like all the pieces are already there and it would involve very little work to get this running since its already supported for Linux and is working for Synology for instance.
Could this be considered to become an official app and regardless of that, you who might be more knowledgeable with programming: Would a third-party app be hard to develop? <
Once again it seems to be available for a variaty of instances (NAS-devices, RPi and the program have a .deb-file from the developers themselves).<
Thank you for your replies & advice - TheSwede86

Re: Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Access as an Asustor app?
Hi, more than a year later I read your post and am looking for a similar solution (I think). I have an Asustor AS-604T and use a Ubiquity Unifi AC Pro Access Point. The latter is controlled by Windows software v5.4.15 . I want to use cloud access (Android app for the Unifi) BUT this only works when the Win controller is active. That is silly but it is what it is. I was considering Amazon AWS to run the controller but I think it makes far more sense to run a controller on my NAS. Now, I am looking for an APK app that will do just that from my NAS (which is on 24/7 anyway). I have also seen that sth like this is avaialble for Synology so ....Asustor (or anyone else) can we add an APK to function as the Unifi controller? Thanks!!

Re: Ubiquiti UniFi as an app?
Have you checked out this post?
https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Wir ... ue#M171319
Someone has done it with an early version of 5.0...but has abandoned the code on GetHub.
Someone that understands this could easily update the code.
Wish I could, cause I'm about to buy my Ubiquiti gear, and could skip the cloud key.
