macOS Finder search of NAS broken

Post by Beau »

The macOS Finder search does not work in macOS 13.3/Ventura on my new Asustor AS6704T (ADM 4.2.0.RE71, BIOS 1.14). I am using a SMB2-SMB3 connection, with Enable Samba VFS modules to enhance macOS compatibility CHECKED. Any search results in “nothing” being display, and there are plenty of matches (I was unable to upload the image due to quota).

Searching the Internet for the problem I found a similar issue and shipped fix on a competitors site. Hopefully this will help Asustor identifying the problem and fix.

You should open a ticket with Asustor Support to report about this, hope they can expedite the fix in the next firmware update.
