ability to back-up "file system tree"

Since my first asustor NAS i have been dealing with issues, many wierd once too.
Usually there is no cause or solution and after a ticket "THE" solution offered is to reset / re-initialise the NAS and they might be right.
It might even be the best resolution, it might solve the issue (then again it might create other new issues too) never the less they go complety by the issue that for every reset one needs to re-create the entire file system tree and re-copy all the backed up files to the NAS (in my case +10TB) while in fact the files are still there..

IMHO it would be VERY benefitial if there was a way to reset the nas and re-import a backup "file system tree".
Not just much quicker, easier, but also without stressing the HDD's with the intensive transfer load of the documents back on there.

Personally i can't belive that this hasn't been created yet.
