good morning everybody,
I'm trying to use my brand new NAS as usual,
but my internet connection is to slow...
and since I'm using NAS with cable and MAC on WIFI, speed is still decreasing...
so my QUESTION is:
can I use my NAS via USB as a regular EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?
I tryed to connect them, but nothing appened.
My nas is already initialized, set up and works on the net,
but I need to accellerate this process
(it takes 18hours to share 220gb...)
thank you all for your kindly reply and suggesions
best

Re: USB Hard Time
Not sure if I understand what you said exactly. You can copy your data to / from NAS to an external USB disk.

no you cannot.
you should buy an external hard drive to copy from your laptop to drive, then plug drive to nas and copy from drive to nas.
or you switch from wifi to wired connection.

Hi,
... but as suggested you can use an external disk with your data in to copy to the NAS
... another option is to use a direct link (ethernet gigabit, between your NAS and the source system, so you can have all the bandwidth for you. in complement, you can increase the thruput by using tools for multiplexing data transfer (ex. lftp available in Entware APKG ... https://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/linux-un ... rator.html )

NO, the NAS can't be connected as an external disk to another system (no OTG)managista wrote:good morning everybody,
