I think its great that asustor supports BTRFS, i think a great unrecognized potential of this is the capability to create and snapshot subvolumes. It would be nice if this feature was visualized in the UI

You can access the snapshot data by enabling "Preview" (ADM web -> Snapshot Center -> Volume -> Select the volume -> Management -> Preview).

I concur with @notzippy, but here's the thing.. BTRFS is complex, and enabling its full featureset in any NAS OS would drive the company's support nuts
Asustor is not the only ones supporting BTRFS, and AFAIK every vendor strip it down as much as possible, for various reasons.
That said, having a "Expert mode" check box, with all the caveats in a pop-up window saying that the user is on his own from there on.. I wouldn't mind
