Can we please have a normal NTP client?

It seems that at the moment the time is updated once every day, and that event is logged. With a normal NTP client the time is synchronized more or less constantly, without any logs.

I really would prefer a normal NTP client that is part of every Linux distribution. My switch has one, my router, I have a real (meinberg) NTP client on my PC (not SNTP), it would be great if we could have it on the Asustor as well. I'm using the Asustor as5202T.

You could install Entware and then use that to install ntpd (and optionally ntp-utils).

I used to do this on my router until Entware stopped supporting MIPS.
