UPS controls/status/shutdown
Can we get UPS support here? It would be great to have my UPS tell the ASUStor when to shutdown during a power outage. Even better if I could see the current state of the UPS in some status window.

Yes, if your UPS model is supported. https://www.asustor.com/en/service/ups?id=ups

I have a CyberPower OM1500LCDRM1U and it does not seem to be recognized. The system log fills up with connect/disconnect messages from the UPS.Too bad.
How would I know if it is being recognized correctly?

It looks like that your model is not in the supported list. I think you can send this request to asustor directly https://support.asustor.com/. However I believe it takes time to support it.

I took a look at the UPS config and nut was not configured correctly. I updated the upsmon.conf file and restarted the driver. Then it worked, and I got alerts when I unplugged the UPS. After a restart, the old config file was restored. How can I keep the updated file in place?

Oops, it's apparently a NAS internal protected file. I guess you can only raise the feature request to ask them to move this file outside, be a user configurable file.
