Lets Encrypt app: support for dns-01 challenge claims

Postby ndl101 » Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:45 pm

Hi.
While I already have made a feature request via the support ticket system, I choose to post it here in order for other to see and voice their thoughts/support etc..

This is a feature request. I would like to see
  • dns-01 challenge claims supported in the Let's Encrypt app
  • Duck DNS supported as an option in the dynamic DNS configuration.
Reasoning: Supporting DNS-01 challenge for domain validation removes the need to expose port 80/443 for certificate creation and renewal. As Duck DNS exposes a TXT record related API, adding Duck DNS is natural choice.

https://www.duckdns.org/spec.jsp

I made it long as I lacked the time to make it short.

According to the replies I have received to the ticket, the feature request has been forwarded to engineering and they should be working on it.

I made it long as I lacked the time to make it short.
