Hi,

It's a common problem when network fail ... ex. dns server is out, ubuntu server is out, etc. , because each update is downloaded ... so update can be started but file is not present.

Happy that it's solved. using Ubuntu add some constrains (even rare) ... but add lot of advantages in security, update (when working) and update of the program and software without need to recreate a new APKG.

myHD is in update phase to solve some problem (CEC) and propose a full replacement of Asportal to bypass lot of limitation i software able to run on NAS.

Is it the Asustor IR remote Control ? ... and before I suppose you had only partial keys working ? or did you use another R.C. ?

I will run a test (but not before Sunday) with Asustor R.C. to have an idea ... problem is : Asustor don't provide information on its remote receiver in NAS ... so it's difficult to custom it or use an alternate method, generally available for "standard" Linux R.C.

As a temporary (I hope) workaround, you can use from a SmartPhone or Tablet
... Kore (the official Kodi R.C. for smartphone
... Droidmote (Android) works well (require droidmote APKG)
... Vnc client require X_Vnc_server APKG to get full control of the Asportal GUI & applications

Philippe.

Thanks for the quick reply Philippe.

Yes you are right, it is the asustor IR remote. And yes the keys worked only partially.
Also the AiRemote for iOS & Android does not work either.

Going to try the Kore (the official Kodi R.C. for smartphone) workaround as you suggested.

Keep up the good work

Hi Philippe,

Droidmote , like you suggested works very well, but I trying to fix my asustor IR remote.

Installed X_Vnc_server to get my asustor remote working in kodi but I don't have a clue what to do with it.

Hi Zwever,

No news from Asustor on I.R. receiver they used and if kernel module or generic driver exist for it.
So no solution, based on my limited knowledge, in short delay.

Vnc server permit to get the control using a Vnc client on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, IOS, etc. of the screen of the NAS
... so be sure to start Xvn_server (it's disabled by default)
use command vnc_mngt in a terminal ex. get status :
Code: Select all
# vnc_mngt status
x11vnc is running
Command used are (2 lines is normal) :
10167 root       0:00 /usr/local/AppCentral/x11vnc/bin/x11vnc -loop -many -rfbport 5900 -o /var/log/x11vnc.log
10559 root       1:23 /usr/local/AppCentral/x11vnc/bin/x11vnc -loop -many -rfbport 5900 -o /var/log/x11vnc.log

... if not use vnc_mngt to start it or change any options :
Code: Select all
# vnc_mngt
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt Usage
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt start|stop|restart
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt status|conf ... display if x11vnc run | display parameters set
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt enable_many|disable_many ... enable multi-connections default TRUE
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt enable_xrandr|disable_xrandr ... default FALSE
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt port Value default ... 5900
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt enable_start_at_boot|disbale_start_at_boot ... enable start it at boot default FALSE
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt set_password Password ... generate  password to xxxx ... save for future use
/usr/local/bin/vnc_mngt enable_passwd|disable_passwd ... enable the previous password define for clients ... default FALSE

When running, use any vnc client (enter I.P. of the nas) to get access to Asportal screen ... after use mouse and keyboard to do what you want. (in front of your TV screen where you see all your actions ... )
start kodi or chrome or ...
... if you start a movie ... you can see only some image on remote screen but normal image and sound on the TV connected

It's useful to configure Kodi or use Chrome ... but inside Kodi, better is to use Kore or Droidmote for ex. to have a more easy interface ...

After upgrade to 4.0.

myHD not working.
MH-Kodi19 is not visible

Code: Select all
myHD start
.....
# /usr/local/AppCentral/myHD/bin/tmux
/usr/local/AppCentral/myHD/bin/tmux: error while loading shared libraries: libtinfo.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

workaround:
Code: Select all
wget https://www.father-mande.ovh/A/other/pre_download_myHD.tar
sh pre_download_myHD.sh 1804

apkg --install myHD_1.0.2_x86-64.apk
apkg --install MH-kodi19_19_x86-64.apk

rm /usr/local/AppCentral/myHD/bin/tmux
cp /volume1/.\@plugins/AppCentral/tmux/bin/tmux /usr/local/AppCentral/myHD/bin/tmux
myHD start

As for the kodi data, it looks like they are all ok.

Hi

I'm writing regarding issues after upgrading to 4.0.0
I've seen provided solution for
error while loading shared libraries: libtinfo.so.5
but I can't get it running when myHD start is executed.
I've linked
ln -s /volume1/.@plugins/.myHD/1804/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libtinfo.so.5.9 /lib/libtinfo.so.5
but another issue appeared with libevent...
Does anyone know how to launch myHD again?

I've copied from centos libevent-2.0.so.5.1.9 and did:
cp /share/XYZ/libevent-2.0.so.5.1.9 /lib64
ln -s /lib64/libevent-2.0.so.5.1.9 /lib64/libevent-2.0.so.5
ln -s /volume1/.@plugins/.myHD/1804/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libtinfo.so.5.9 /lib/libtinfo.so.5
myHD start

at least it starts... but far from perfect. If anyone could share others steps that would be awsome

Do not link library, copy new tmux version to myHD bin folder.
