ClamAV scans nothing

I installed ClamAV and manually updated the database. The program reports that it is updated. I scanned the entire system, after 2 hours the antivirus did not scan any files. I did a second test on a folder with only one file and even so, after 10 minutes, the antivirus did not scan anything. The count of scanned files remained at zero. That is, ClamAV available in the app store does not work. Any tips?

I know this is old but I'm out of ideas now.
Did you ever get a resolution?

Ran a scan for 2 hours on a folder containing a few small files and it hits 50% cpu but never ends.

Avast was removed leaving this as the only option. Now I discover this isn't working either.

How can I virus/malware scan my nas box?

Especially given the recent events this comical lack of security reminds me why I should never buy asustor/Asus again.
