Hi there all, I have a AS4004T, with 2XIronwolf 6tb nas drives and running the asustor as time machine drive (if it matters). I have now added a 6tb Skyhawk drive on bay 3 and I m trying to figure out how can I add that to my raid 0 drive ie expanding from 12tb to 18tb roughly. Any help on how to do that, would be great.

Hi,

It's not possible to extend Raid0 with one disk (or more)
Raid0 is the most unsecured Raid ... it's only be reserved to static data or if you run in a cluster with a full duplication of your data
... lost ONE disk in a Raid0 ... and ALL your data are lost (each file is written by block on each disk ... so a file don't exist totally on one disk (except if less than one block))

Raid0 require a pair or multiple pairs of disks of same size disks ... and can't be expanded (due to the build approach)

Your only approach is to created ofr the single disk ... shared resources and use soft link to access data from a same root folder ... but it's manual and with a single disk added you have same level of risk for your data .

All rules for expanding Raid are here : https://www.asustor.com/online/College_topic?topic=352
