failed to install new apps

Situation:
AS4002T-BFA6
ADM version 3.4.1.R7Q6 (25-08-2019)

Issue:
I'm trying to install new apps using 'app centrall' however when trying to install it seems to 'install', is 'preparing' and then stops.
I tried multiple apps (with / without prerequisities). however nothing works.
I tried to switch on / off, no result.

Log file result: Download App failed. (Ref. -412)

I red somewhere else it could be related to the ADM version.
So I try to update via 'settings'
However I get the message: Cannot connect to server. Please try again later. (over a week I tried more then once).

On asustor.com I saw a latest update is available.

Update:
a manual update does work (of plex e.g.)

Question:
* Anyone experiencing this issue and know how to tackle this?
* does it has to do with the adm version? and how can I update easily (and safe)?
* if yes: is an manual update (download / upload version) more / less safe than an autoupdate (i mean related to data on the disks).

issue is resolved.
* I entered manual ip adress + dns adresses

that resolved the issue, now the adm is updated + app will be updated / can be installed.
