Renaming AD Groups

Hello,
I recently renamed some AD groups and now my domain-joined NAS denies access to users from the renamed groups. I'm a little bit surprised, since Windows AD-members seem to look at the SID instead of the name of a group. Also, I don't find an "Update AD-groups" button or something like that. What is the procedure here?

I just tried rebooting the NAS and I still see the old group names. Am I missing something?

BTW, it's an AS4004T with ADM 3.5.7.RJ92, which my NAS assures me is the current version.
