Dropbox in Company Shared directory instead of personal

A few months back my wife and I added a few people to our team, and had to switch to a team based dropbox instead of just a single user that she and I shared. Since moving to company dropbox, I cannot find a way to sync asustor with dropbox IF the synced folder is not in an individual user folder.

Because my team will be accessing files with a couple of applications that can't use relative folders so C:/dropbox/ourteam/user/xfolder will not work, it has to be C:/dropbox/ourteam/xfolder. If any part of the link is different files won't work appropriately.

Any ideas on how to sync asustor with dropbox on a shared team directory, or do I need to just let go of local NAS and only use dropbox?
