Playlist errors - how to fully uninstall/reinstall the app?

The Hi-Res Player is a music player which you can play the Hi-Res Audio (higher than CD quality - lossless music format - FLAC, WAV, DSD etc)

Playlist errors - how to fully uninstall/reinstall the app?

Post by primusd »

Hey folks,

I really wish this app got more attention/ support/updates...

After getting Asustor tech support to fix a user profile corruption issue, I've started having issues with Hi-Res Player. Every time I open the app now, I get the pop-up: "Something went wrong retrieving the playlist!"

No matter reboot, uninstall app, reboot, reinstall, the same error keeps coming up. Oddly, when accessing MPD via my Android app, all works fine. This seems to imply 1) the issue is with the rompr UI and not the underlying MPD and that 2) some rompr settings are persisting no matter the uninstall/reinstall (e.g. it remembers the different folders I set as music sources).

Any tips on how to do a full uninstall/clean reinstall (or where the info might be stored despite the uninstall)?

Thanks!!

David
