Hi,

In a first approach ... seem you have a buffer underrun
This indicate that you don't have enough resources to play this kind of stream ...

I suppose it's because you have only 1 GB of memory (mine have 4 GB) ... so not sure we can solve (perhaps by flushing actual buffer and cache file)
You can try to reduce the size of the buffer (if you are on same LAN) in PMP settings

I will have a more detailed look in one or two days, I am in travel for now.

I suspected that but the low use of ram during the moving playing still makes me doubt.
I already tried to reduce the size of the buffer without improvement, but I'll try again.
I think I saw that this new pmp has 2gb ram as a recommended minimum. Anyone knows a good site for correct prices and delivery to France?

Rue Montgallet ... si vous êtes Parisien ...
Sinon Amazon / LDLC / Pixmania par exemple ...

English :
Rue Montgallet if you leave in Paris.
if not ... Amazon, LDLC or Pixmania for ex.

Hi everyone, I confirm that upgrading to 4gb solved the framedrops issue!
Now everything is fine except that I also have the stereo sound problem.
For all files with ac3 or dts, sound is OK with HDMI passthrough to my amp. I had a small sound delay that I could solve directly from the amp.
But stereo files like movie trailers get no sound at all.
Right now I can live with it.
Thanks

Generally we have the reverse problem ... all output in stereo even audio pass-through support extended mode ..

Please can you provide the plexmediaplayer.log (again) when you play the movie trailers (and if possible an URL to this trailers for test (later because I am in travel up to Wednesday newt week ))

Yes this is strange.

I attached new plexmediaplayer.log and conf files.
14:52:09: Play a stereo trailer file - provided by PMP itself, I don't have the link - no sound. Reported driver on screen pressing I key is alsa. Stereo -> Stereo.
14:52:30: Play a movie with DTS track. Sounds OK.
15:06:53: Play a test files with AC3 track, I can really hear that sound is coming from 5 channels + 1 subwoofer.

Still in pmp v2.9.

Just tried 2.10. Starts properly but exits each time I tried to play something, so I went back to 2.9.

Hi Maerlin,

Your stereo file is at 48000 Hz
can you test with another file (ex. at 44100 Hz like CD encoding not as DAT ) ? or also move from tv to web interface (desktop mode) and try to play the file in error

Not sure that this solve somethings ... but I suggest this relatively to others posts in others forum ...

I can't run test before next Friday (when I will be back in my lab ...

I will redo tests with 2.10 ... to try to understand

Thanks.
Here is another log.
Around 23:28 I tried to play several home made videos.
Some at 48khz: no sound, output driver: null
One at 44khz: no sound, output driver: null
The last one is my AC3 test file, just to be sure: sounds OK on 5+1 channels. output driver: alsa.

Just as a reminder, my AS5002t is plugged through HDMI to an AMP, which is plugged to the TV. The amp is a Philips Fidelio E5.

Still very strange :)

Edit: those files are all playing properly in openPHT... :-S

Don't have an AMP to test (just an HDMI extractor to Optical to a small DTS prologic decoder)

The interesting (even not correct) is that output driver is "null" (so no sound at all by definition ... ) ??? no idea why ??? ... I can't test before end of the week ... but I will re-check config settings file ...
