I managed to upgrade from Nextcloud 12 to 13 using the Nextcloud upgrade tool, following the Nextcloud instructions (web based first and the finishing with command line). I'm now on version 13.0.1.

Now the "problem" is that Nextcloud tells me I will not be able to upgrade to Nextcloud 14, because PHP is version 5.6 and it should be version 7.
How do I upgrade PHP, which is included in ADM ?

i know how to use occ upgrade in nextcloud, that is not the point

you can not upgrade php by yourself to a newer one, i am in contact since months with asustor and they work on an update for php and several other components(openssl...)
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=9449

you should open a ticket on asustor support too, to show that i am not the only one who have interest

I think really the only other option is to run Nextcloud in a Virtualbox VM, or in the packaged Nextcloud VM: https://github.com/nextcloud/vm

I also require PHP ≥ 7.0 so that I can upgrade from Nextcloud 13 to 14.
I have submitted an additional ticket.

after installing nextcloud12 from the adm store im not able to connect with nextcloud12 to the internal sql service from asustor(yes i have make a new table for nextcloud over phpmyadmin)

maybe the new php7 package from the adm appstore is the problem?

I didnt even notice that there is a PHP 7 app in App Central now:
https://www.asustor.com/app_central/app_detail?id=959

There is a pretty big problem though. Nextcloud 13 (and 14!) only supports up to PHP 7.2, and that PHP 7 app clearly states that its PHP 7.3. Only starting in Nextcloud 15 does it support PHP 7.3, and I don't think its possible to upgrade directly from Nextcloud 13 to 15? To me, this means there isn't a viable upgrade method to go from Nextcloud 13 to anything newer, unless someone releases a PHP 7.2 app.

https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/13/ad ... ments.html

Seems the best (only?) method of running a newer release of Nextcloud will be a Dockerized distribution.. unless someone else cares to correct me?

I'm stuck on Nextcloud 13 as well. Can't get to Nextcloud 14 with PHP 7.3 and no way to jump to Nextcloud 15.
