Cannot login after upgrade to 12.0.4

I had Nextcloud 12.0.0 installed from the Asustor App Central. Everything was working as it should.
Yesterday I upgraded to 12.0.4 using the built-in web based upgrader of Nextcloud, plus running command "./occ upgrade" at the end.
The upgrade went fine and everything seems to work normally.
Except that I cannot login to Nextcloud with the browser anymore.
My hunch is that there is an issue with permissions but I'm not sure and I don't know how to find out.
Can someone help?

You might have better luck with Nextcloud support forums than here. I attempted to upgrade to 12.0.4 yesterday, and my instance got all screwed up, but eventually I got it to behave after playing with a few occ commands.

You can try a couple different occ commands, and hopefully it'll fix your problem:

./occ maintenance:repair
./occ check
./occ status

I have a special .htaccess in my webroot /volume1/Web/, which I think caused permissions issues, but I was able to recover. My Nextcloud status is a bit funky now though:

I ran the occ commands, nothing to report. I have the same funky status
