Hi Philippe,

you are the best! Thanks for all your help. Of course nobody would blame you for not knowing Asustor's changing their internal APKG handling!

Thanks again,

Oliver

Hi,

New version 2.0-1.4 proposed for A.D.M. 3.x firmware ... ONLY for fresh install (don't really need for update)

Change :

... support modifications done by Asustor in APKG management
... support (and document in first post) How using your own (up to date) Java Runtime Environment (even official JRE is always a prerequisite)
... ... this uspport DON'T replace the official JRE to don't generate potential problems with others tools
... ... but replacing it as explain early in this topics by dergilb (thanks to him) is possible BUT it's your choice

Tested on :
5002T (64 bits ... using official JRE)
1002T (ARM ... using JRE u144 (last))
202TE (x86 32 bits ... using JRE u144 (last))

Download in first post of this topic (using now my own HTTP server

You rock Philippe!

Merci beaucoup.

Install works perfectly (I just had to remove the jdownloader folder in Web share), init.sh script is starting a background process and ctrl+c cleanly exits it.

Great job.

Hi Philipe,

sorry to bother you again - and maybe it's just my installation, but I always get the info that an update is available even though there apparently is none, because I have another installation on my synology which does not find any updates...

Anyhow, if I start the update. JD will disconnect and stay disconnected. Also 'Device Name' in expert settings does not stay. It always reverts back to jdownloader@root. Path for Download or ffmpeg stays as configured :?:

Also, disabling JD in AppCentral does indeed stop JD, but enabling does not restart :/

Any clues what I might try are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Hum! I think I have add a non useful parameters (-norestart)

Workaround
1 change /usr/local/AppCentral/jdownloader/CONTROL/start-stop.sh search line with norestart and supress "-norestart" in line

2 restart manually jdownloader (hope after (the change in script) this will be no more need)
/usr/local/AppCentral/jdownloader/CONTROL/start-stop.sh start
verify
ps -eaf | gre JD
... no "update" world in line
... if update ... just wait to the end
redo
/usr/local/AppCentral/jdownloader/CONTROL/start-stop.sh start

With -norestart : manual restart is need
1 time after getting file
1 more after installing update
1 last to restart as usual

When all is correct : Disable jdownloader in APP. Central, then enable it ... to use the nex start-stop.sh script

I will update the APKG ... apologize for inconvenience ...

Philippe.

Hi,

Update of jdownloader 2 from 1.4 to 1.4.1

solve bug forcing to restart manually after update ...

If you have already done the correction here before NO NEED to update.

Hi,

Change first post to inform that you can use Entware-ng or Entware-ng updated to new Entware (merged version) OR new Entware 1.x package for fresh install
