... solve an infinite loop (but <crtl>c break it) when using vnc_mngt restart (typo error in shell)
... solve problem to set a password (new ... with official ADM 2.6)

Hi,

thanks for this app it works great!!
im having problems with setting a password though
i set the password using
vnc_mngt set_password Test+
stored passwd in file: /root/.vnc_passwd
vnc_mngt enable_passwd
vnc_mngt start
when i start vnc viewer it asks for password but Test+ does not work password check failed!
with password disable it works like a charm

Problem identified with password and official ADM 2.6 (perhaps I don't see it in some previous beta)
please update Xvnc_Server with version 2.1-0.9.3 ... available in first post.

Have I missed something? xorg 10.x isn't available on my NAS... only 7.6.9... So it won't let me install it. I have ADM 2.6.0R4R1 ....

No idea about Asustor delivery on ALL model (I have only one AS5002T for dev.) with this xorg version ...
... so check with Asustor for your model ...
did you test version 1.1 or 2.0 ???

I have an As-604T, one of their earlier models. https://www.asustor.com/apps/app_detail?id=254 This is the x.org I have from the app store. And no I didn't try the older versions of the APK because I have ADM 2.6 I assumed they were all Intel atom and would all have the same version of things needed for it lol.... But it does make me wonder why they've not bothered to upgrade X.org ....

Nope. The earlier versions still require x.org 10.x.x ....

Are sources available for what you've done and are the compilable on the nas itself against the libraries that are there? I can cross compile but it would be a hassle. And are your binaries static?

I will look for "old" models
is it a 32 bits or a 64 bits Linux inside ??
if 32 bits ... no chance it run before a full rebuild
if 64 bits ... perhaps just to change the xorg prerequisite (due to the fact I put the version I use when I test the product ... )
