Entware-ng exist for x86, x86_64 and armhf architecture

[APKG Entware 1.0] x86_64 / Arm ... New install ONLY

Post by father.mande »

Hi,

Due to the convergence of Entware-3x (kernel > 3.x) and Entware-ng (actual APKG)

A NEW APKG name Entware is now available
==== IF YOU HAVE UPDATED Entware-ng to Entware (following viewtopic.php?f=156&t=9579 ) YOU DON'T HAVE to use this new version (require remove of previous Entware)
==== It's ONLY for fresh install on system WITHOUT Optware, Asware or Entware-ng APKG installed

==== Entware don't support some platform (so keep Entware-ng for this platform)
==== Asustor Arm(hf) / x86_64 (64 bits) AND NEW ARMV8 (arm64/aarch64) are supported NOW ADDED i386 (32 bits x86 series)
CANCELED LINE : ==== x86 (32 bits) are NOT supported any more
==== Other platform outside Asustor (Mipsel, Armel, etc.) are supported on non Asustor models ...

[Name]
Entware

[Version]
1.0 (please send feedback when you install it)

[Prerequisite]
Optware, Astware, Entwagre-ng MUST be removed before installing this NEW APKG
A working Internet access at install (and after for update or new package install)

[Install]
As usual get the .apkg then manual install
THE REAL INSTALL is done on line AUTOMATICALLY ... so be sure to have a working Internet access when you install APKG

[Save existing Entware-ng packages list before install]
... save config file (depends of your packages but in /etc for a lot)
... create a list (in safe place) of installed packages : opkg list_installed | cut -f1 -d " "
... use this list to reinstall all packages in new Entware install and reconfigure (or use saved configuration files)

[Delta versus Entware-ng updated to Entware-3x]
NOTHING

[Usage]
Only in a console (terminal) mode
Like Entware, packages are installed using "opkg" package manager (+1900 packages) including torrent, server, openssh, apahe, php, etc. etc.

[Download]
NOW ONE APKG per series (architecture)
NEW : i386 (32 bits) : https://www.father-mande.ovh/A/apkg/ent ... 0_i386.apk

x86_64 : https://www.father-mande.ovh/A/apkg/ent ... x86-64.apk
Arm(hf) : https://www.father-mande.ovh/A/apkg/ent ... 00_arm.apk
Arm64(aarch64) : https://www.father-mande.ovh/A/apkg/ent ... _arm64.apk

Hope I can put this if official App. Central repository soon ...
Have fun.

Philippe.

Hi,

ADD APKG to support i386 (old ... all is relative) i386 (x86 32 Bits series)
Tested on my AS202T

Bring you LOT OF NEW APPLICATIONS AND UPDATE ...
REMEMBER to suppress Entware-ng, Astware, Optware if installed BEFORE using Entware.
save config file if needed and list of installed package for a more easy update after new install of Entware 1.0

=== work in progress : add it to App. Central.
