Using Git app?

Hi,

does anybody know how to start using git?

I could not find the location of the ventral config file?
I found the executable location: /usr/local/AppCentral/git (via /usr/local/bin )
But where can I set users and repository path?
Or is that build in and should I use specific one's?

I used to have svn running on a QNAP. I know how to use GitHub but like to have my ow server, so I now want to move to GIT on the asustor.
