Backup Plan not running.

I have back up plan set up on my system with 2 plans a sync for my Doc and a twice weekly for everything else. neither seem to run on their own they work fine if I manually run them but if left to run automatically they don't. My twice weekly was over a month behind and the sync was not in sync.

Will the backups run if the system is in sleep mode?

I seriously doubt it. Something needs to either wake up the NAS or keep it awake in order for the backups to happen. I don't think the backup itself will be enough to wake it up. At least not with the way sleep works now.
