Would be cool if its possible to run Spotify on the TE series.

Do you think thats possible? there should be a apk package for it on m.spotify.com

you can use spotify via xbmc but you need premium subscription

You may also be able to use Logitech Media Server "SqueezeboxServer" from Asustor App Central, and then install the Triode Spotify Plugin. Squeezebox has lot's of other free plugins, phone app, and customizations for the music lover.
