Teamspeak server down

TeamSpeak 3 continues the legacy of the original TeamSpeak communication system previously offered in TeamSpeak Classic (1.5) and TeamSpeak 2. TeamSpeak 3 is not merely an extension of its predecessors but rather a complete rewrite in C++ of its proprietary protocol and core technology.

Teamspeak server down

Post by foffe77 »

Early today, or late last night my teamspeak server went down. No update of the NAS has been done. The server just went down. I cant even connect to it locally.

I've restarted the router and the NAS. But no luck. I replaced the teamspeak files from a backup that I have, and reinstalled it from the app central. But nothing works.

The NAS works fine otherwise. What can I do to fix this? Anyone else with issues?

Hey there.

Got same problem.

Can anyone help my problem with teamspeak?
This morning my nas restarted it self like every morning. After the restart my teamspeak wont work. My plex is still running fine and I think the error is laying with teamspeak.
I have reinstalled the app 3 times now and still no luck. I can't join it local or with ip adresse.

The log file looks like this:

I think it's about the first warning but I do not now how to handle it.

Thanks

I manage to solve it.

One year ago it was the same issue with unpaid licenses for home servers. And now again.

I read on the official teamspeak forum that a reinstall will solve the issue. I downloaded the latest version here :

https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads/#

- Download Server Linux 64-bit 3.9.1 version
- Stopped the teamspeak server in app central
- Unpacked the files and replaced the files on the NAS
- Started the server again

Then it worked with the same channels and settings as before.

Thanks for this, I tried everything I could think of to try and find the fault, but with no luck. This issue would have never have crossed my mind.

I did exactly what you said. The only error I made is based on the age of my NAS (AS302T). I installed the 64 bit TS server (which didn't work).

Luckily I noticed an old legacy TS server folder on my NAS (from 2014) called teamspeak3-server_linux-x86. It's a shame I didn't notice the x86 in the folder name before installing the 64 bit version ..... doh!

So I downloaded the 32 bit version of the server, and it's back to working fine again.

TS is just one of those programs that just runs painlessly for years and years (for me at least). There was more old logs files in the install than I've had hot dinners ..... ;-)

Cheers

It seemes that the same licence issue happened again today,

Install the latest version from teamspeak.com and the server will work again.

I'm glad that I am still subscribed to this thread. I haven't used my server for a little while though it's always up, but I will be gaming tonight. That could have delayed the session because indeed I could not contact the server.
I've done the same as before and ssh'd the new files into the server, and it's working now.

Thanks for the heads-up

Same issue again, server needs to be downloaded from teamspeak.com and reinstalled.

It's that time of year again (cannot connect to server). Had to manually download the latest Linux TS server and upload to NAS
