snes9x very slow

I try to run some ROM's at my AS6102T but it's to slow for gaming.
So i upgrade it to from 2 GB to 8 GB RAM...nothing changed.
Is there anything in the options that I must set?

Trouble is generally linked to :
... pulseaudio
... video rendering
So (even if I don't remember where
) you must choice :
... OpenGL for video mode
... ALSA as sound
... also take attention to the screen resolution ... some don't work as well ... so keep a 720p and not 1080p for ex. if you don't keep default
I have made the port of snes9x-gtk in start of 2015 for another NAS brand ... but close it due to the difficulty to support change in the Asportal equivalent ... so now I am on other project and don't remember all the change I have done in the configuration ...
If Mame is working on Asustor ... and build with all option ... better is to move to Mame for a best result ... even if a "memory eater" ...
