Experimental App for Popcorn Time

Post by william777 »

Hi guys,

Because ASUSTOR NAS has the HDMI display, I am interested if Popcorn Time can work or not.
I try to integrate Popcorn Time from http://www.time4popcorn.eu, and it seems it can work.
The video might be lag due to the networking traffic, and some of the video/movie might not be played due to the network ?

Any way, if you are interested for Popcorn Time app. You can download them from
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vnn8opjesvgp ... ZF1POKc7Ka , and install it from App Central by "manual install"

PS:
According to the terms of Popcorn Time
Popcorn Time downloads, and sees movies using torrent, which may not be legal in your country.
We are not responsible for any problems that may arise, so make sure you understand our terms,
and conditions before using the app......

Cheer,

William

Hello!
I have installed the plug in and it is no problem starting it but when I trie to watch a movie it is constant lagging (buffering). Is it because of the traffic or can I have done something wrong?

Dear All,

I made a new app which it will integrate with Popcorntime 3.2.0 in the App.
You can download it from https://www.dropbox.com/s/ls3xyxy9ret7j ... 4.apk?dl=0 .

It will play movie more smoothly!
Popcorntime will need more memory to run. 1GB is ok (don't run too many apps), but I will recommend you have 2GB memory in the NAS
I only make the Popocorntime for AS6 ONLY. :D

Best Regards,
