Hi, how do I make a minecraft bukkit server ?

Minecraft is a sandbox construction game, inspired by Infiniminer, Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper, created by Markus Persson, the founder of Mojang AB. The game involves players placing and breaking various types of blocks in a three-dimensional environment. The player takes on an avatar that can break and place blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations, and artwork, on multiplayer servers and singleplayer worlds across multiple game modes.

I got a copy of an apk for Minecraft server from Clinton Hall, I think the link is posted somewhere on the forums still. I'm not sure what a bukkit server is though, my son is the one that plays micecraft. I know that it's just the vanilla game, no mods. i'm not sure how you would/could mod it.

You need to enable SSH access to the NAS first. Then you can login as root using a tool like PuTTY or WINSCP to get to the op.txt and such. You would find the files in /usr/local/AppCentral/bukkit/ folders.

I think some files is missing. There is no op and word. Only some start and stop files and about and files like that. Dosent seems to be some games files. I have install both the bukkit and normal minecraft on nas and same problem with them both.

I think you are in the wrong subfolder. There is a CONTROL folder that has the start-stop.sh and such for controlling the service, there is also a server folder that contains the actual server and other files. I have both the bukkit and Minecraft servers installed on mine and they are fine. The only issue I had with Bukkit is that it seems to be 1.6.4 instead of 1.7.5 line the Minecraft server. My son seems to know how to switch his client between them though. They are set to use the same default port, so you'd definitely need to change one server.properties file if you intend to try running both.

That sounds as though both minecraft and bukkit are failing to start.

Can you confirm that you do have java installed?

Via ssh, what is the output of
Code: Select all
ps | grep bukkit
ps | grep minecraft
netstat -tulpn | grep 25565
AS-604T
3 x ST4000DM0000 (Seagate 4TB) in Raid5
2 GB RAM expansion
AS-302T

I have java app from asustor called JRE installed. Where should i type those word? I use winscp.

Edit:
Just deleting everything on my nas and start a fresh start. Only things I had done is setting up to raid 5, install java and bukkit and still no server data :(

Nothing really happens with none of the commands.

Some portforwarding needed ?
I have done the 25565 and 8000-8001

Edit:
When trying to connecting server via client, its go timeout.
