The 7zip notes still work. I've been able to update the java to 19.0.1 and get Minecraft server version 1.19.2 to run.
I am seeing a few issues with loading the Minecraft server now:
1. The AS3304T only has 2GB and the Minecraft server seems to require 1GB to run. The server never loads when trying to run it with 512MB. Stops at: "Preparing start region for dimension minecraft:overworld" then shuts down after a few minutes.
UPDATE:
I was able to get the Minecraft server to run using 512MB as the Xms and Xmx (java -Xms512M -Xmx512M -jar server.jar nogui). We will see how it performs.
2. The Minecraft server does not start when selecting the off and on option in App Central, but I can start it from the command line. (java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar server.jar nogui) I'm not sure where to look to see if there are logs that might explain why.
UPDATE:
I was able to get the Minecraft app in App Central to start the Minecraft server by creating a symlink to the server.jar file under /volume1/Public/minecraft_server (ln -s server.jar minecraft_server.1.19.2.jar). This allows the Minecraft app to start and stop the server.

Re: Keep Minecraft Server Up To Date
I have just tested a new update for this App. It should appear in App Center soon (once Asustor have tested and verified).
If you want to test you can download from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/cf8ku5jzp65ld ... y.apk?dl=0
Please note. This now only supports x86-64 and arm-64 architecture. No 32 bit support is available as this package now bundles openJDK v19 (which only supports 64 bit).
This package no longer relies on JRE (or any other app).
This should also be more resilient for upgrading to newer server versions as this now allows you to specify the Version AND the download path.
In you share folder, edit Public/minecraft_server/version.txt and set the version then "=" and then the url to download that version
Note: you can get the versions, and the urls from https://mcversions.net/
Disable and Enable the App in App Center, and this should download and run the versions you have specified.
