Files missing but still took up diskspace

I just bought the AS1002T for my Mac backup, spent the whole day putting the files in, but the next day, all my folders and files are gone in the Home folder, I cant see all of them but they still took up the space. I tried to restart but its still the same.

What's wrong?

I'm guessing you login to NAS with a different user (said, guest). You can check what users are on-line to NAS: ADM -> System Information -> Online user.

Now, I think you can login to ADM with admin user, then check if those files are under "User Homes" shared folder. Oh, you'll need to enable this "User Homes" shared folder under Access Control.
