Security, users and groups

Postby sandro_rocha » Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:25 am

I have an AS1002T and, as it stays at home and is accessed only by my devices, I never bothered to create a user. I even disabled the guest user. Whenever I need to access Asustor Portal to install an application or make any changes to the system, access as admin, which I believe is correct. But I had a question when installing the docker. They recommend creating a "docker" group and adding the user to that group. My question is: what privileges should this group and user have? Is it really necessary to do this?

And what are the security recommendations to apply to the NAS?
